The Smiddy’s view

Two-colour linoprint in Cranfield inks on A5 190gsm Kent paper by Lucy Hanna @lucyandlino In Lucy's own words: ‘The Smiddy’s view’ The Smiddy(Noun) a workshop used by a blacksmith. This view has been enjoyed, often collectively, by 3 generations of my family, including myself. The view over Loch Ewe, West coast of Scotland, acts like a slide show. From the bench outside The Smiddy I can revisit childhood memories as clear as day; wandering the seaweed shore in the scud (Scots for naked) as a wee girl, fishing the pier with my Dad and more recently, The Bells (New Year’s Eve) with my partner and our friends. The Smiddy is somewhere I will always yearn to be. It is truly special to have so many memories in one place.’
