Delighted to announce that Thought Press Project has re-launched for 2025, with the theme of ‘Sound & Vision’! Inspired by the classic song by David Bowie.
The project runs with up to 100 UK printmakers kindly donating their artwork to raise funds for The Children's Book Project and Edible Rotherhithe.

Alongside @ediblerotherhithe, our second charity this year is @childrensbookproject. This is a great charity that seeks to tackle book poverty, and give every child the opportunity to own their own book.
Book ownership has been directly linked with improved mental health amongst children and a greater propensity to read for pleasure, whilst reading fluency itself has a significant impact on children’s successful progression through education.

"The Owl & The Birds" by @sarahdelahoy.printmaker

My print is inspired by the fable " The Owl & The Birds" about a wise owl that saw seed had been scattered near her tree and warned the other birds that they should eat the seed before they grow into trees that hawks would live in.

They all choose to ignore her warning which ultimately lead to their downfall when the hawks eventually arrived, highlighting the importance of listening when you are given wise advice !

Linocut printed on 190gsm Kent printmaking paper in black caligo safewash ink, approximately A4 size.
