We are 100 UK printmakers creating prints on the theme of "Bring me Sunshine" inspired by the Morecambe & Wise song, to be sold in aid of two charities - Place 2 Be and Edible Rotherhithe. Place 2 Be helps school children improve their mental health and wellbeing across the UK. ‘Sun-kissed’ is a reduction Lino print with a mono-printed background, that was created using a gel press. I incorporated the Adinkra symbol ‘OWIA KOKROKO’ which translates as ‘greatness of the sun’. In my print, the woman’s head is raised in honour of the sun, celebrating all the beauty in life.
