Delighted to announce that Thought Press Project has re-launched for 2025, with the theme of ‘Sound & Vision’! Inspired by the classic song by David Bowie.
The project runs with up to 100 UK printmakers kindly donating their artwork to raise funds for The Children's Book Project and Edible Rotherhithe.

Alongside @ediblerotherhithe, our second charity this year is @childrensbookproject. This is a great charity that seeks to tackle book poverty, and give every child the opportunity to own their own book.
Book ownership has been directly linked with improved mental health amongst children and a greater propensity to read for pleasure, whilst reading fluency itself has a significant impact on children’s successful progression through education.

"Song of the Thrush"

This artwork features a song thrush delicately perched on a page of music manuscript. Inspired by the bird’s rich, melodic call, I sought to merge sound and image—capturing both the voice and presence of one of my favourite songbirds. The thrush is hand carved and printed directly onto sheet music, symbolising the harmony between nature and composition. Its distinct, repeating phrases—so familiar in woodland and garden—are echoed visually in the rhythm of the notes beneath.
